Lee Roy Selmon has a background that is a combination of family scholarships football and volunteer work in the community. First family he is the youngest of nine children of Lucious Selmon and Jessie. They grew up on a family farm near Eufala, Oklahoma. In second football, he was the third brother who were players for Oklahoma. All three made All-America. Lucious Jr. Dewey was an All-Star for the whole 1973 season. Lee Roy received the Outland and Lombardi Awards for being the most effective lineman in the USA. The three years he was an offensive lineman, Oklahoma was 32-1-1 and won two national championships. The National Football Foundation named him a Scholar-Athlete for the third time in the year 1975. Selmon has a bachelor's degree in educational studies. Fourth-year service in college Lee Roy devoted ten hours each week on volunteer work. After graduation, he landed in Tampa played nine years with the Buccaneers was an all-pro three times before beginning a business career. He began his career in 1988. worked as an Account Relation Manager for First Florida Bank in Tampa. He worked for Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute as well as the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. There's no surprise that the Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as one of the most prominent young people in America. As a student, Lee Roy was 6-2 and was weighing 256 pounds. He captained his college team in the year 1975. He was promoted to the associate director of Athletics at University of South Florida. In 1993, the College Football Hall of Fame was named for his in 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame, in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame In 1995. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter of the National Football Foundation in 1989 gave their Distinguished American Award to his parents Mr. and Mrs..
